Mobile Medical Mission Kit
In Ghana the clinics in Cape Coast and Tema are struggling. It has been extremely difficult to retain staff and keep the equipment updated. Our ability to do outreach and bring in patients from rural areas has dramatically declined because the vehicles that were previously used are no longer reliable.
For these reasons and also numerous requests that we help underserved areas in other parts of the world, we realized that we will need to develop a Mobile Medical Mission Kit. This became abundantly clear during a trip to Uganda with International Relief Teams. We went to Tororo in Uganda and spent 2 weeks at a Catholic Hospital. They had clinic space, operating room space, and hundreds of patients. They DID NOT have the equipment to perform examinations and operations on eye patients. This equipment and supplies had to be brought in by our team.
For this reason it is vitally important to bring the equipment that is crucial to the success of our missions. Without this equipment we would not have been able to restore vision to more than a hundred people that were blind from cataracts.
