Cameo Roberson
Cameo Roberson has been in the financial services industry since returning to the Bay Area in 2001. In her current role, she serves as a Financial Assistant for a private wealth management firm serving high net worth families and individuals. One of two firms that have helped shaped her passion for finance, Cameo assists with back office operations, human resource administration, operations management, and client account monitoring.
A native of Redwood City, CA, Cameo received her BS degree in Business Administration, emphasis in International Business in 2000 from California State University, Long Beach. Inspired to continue her education, she also received a professional certification in Project Management from UC Berkeley Extension services.
A new board member to HIOTWM as of September 2011, Cameo has been involved with HIOTWM projects since 2007 where she travelled to Ghana for the dedication of the Tokuroano Village water project, located in the Volta region. Passionate about helping others and making a strong connection to Africa, Cameo has now travelled to Ghana twice and continues to support the vision, mission, and purpose of HIOTWM.
Intrigued about finance, grounded in her faith, and inquisitive about discovering ways to effectively manage your God-given resources, Cameo formally launched “Faith Walk Financial: Linking a faith foundation with financial “cents” to encourage and liberate individuals toward success with their finances. www.moneyfaithwalk.com
Cameo serves as the Executive Administrator on the Board of Help Is On The Way Ministries. She maintains e-communication efforts and overall team administration on a variety of projects supported by HIOTWM. On the most recent trip to Ghana (March 2011), she provided administration support and group planning for all participants. Moved by the compassion of this ministry and overall humanitarian efforts, Cameo is fully supportive of HIOTWM as an organization that embodies the importance of helping others.
An avid traveler, basketball fan, camping enthusiast, and fan of fine cuisine, Cameo enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as teaching others about how to improve their finances.

Likpe-Abrani Water Project
Likpe-Abrani, a small town with a current population of 4,000 is about 35 km from Hohoe, the District capital. The community has 4 boreholes serving 4000 people. However, as per Ghana standards, one borehole serves 300 people. Hence the 4 boreholes only serve 1200 people, leaving a deficite of 2800 people.
Vocation Development
Some assistance has been provided to Tokuroano villagers to produce batik (tie-dyed) fabrics on a small scale as a cottage industry. This support will be increased as funds become available.
Future Programs
Land has been given by the Tokuroano village chiefs for a vocational center. Once this center is established, skills such as dressmaking and carpentry will be developed to provide villagers with income and the capability of self-reliance. |
